Healing for Survivors
The Greater Orlando Trauma Recovery Network (TRN) offers pro bono EMDR services to those affected by local disasters. Research supports that early treatment helps survivors digest trauma in a more adaptive way, thus minimizing the potential for posttraumatic symptoms later. The Greater Orlando TRN offers free EMDR treatment to those directly involved in the Pulse nightclub tragedy as well as family, friends, coworkers, and first responders who are deeply affected.
The Trauma Recovery Network (TRN) helps hundreds of skilled volunteer clinicians to serve communities affected by disasters through a comprehensive program of preparation, mitigation, rescue and response. The TRN is sponsored and coordinated at the national level by Trauma Recovery, EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs with key partners in the project growing the number of local/regional TRN Associations or Chapters. The Greater Orlando TRN is one of these partners created and staffed by local volunteers who prepare themselves and their communities to restore and safeguard psychological well-being in the event of a disaster.
Visit the Greater Orlando TRN website to learn how to volunteer for our local Trauma Recovery Network or to update your availability.
