Tiffany Lowther, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in substance use, women’s issues, anxiety, trauma, relationships, pregnancy, and postpartum depression/anxiety. She is an ally to the LGBTQI+ community. She works with adults, couples, and adolescents using evidenced-based modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Mindfulness, Sand Tray Therapy, and Gottman Therapy.
As you walk in to her office, Mrs. Lowther creates an inviting and accepting atmosphere that allows for safety, connection and growth. Clients are encouraged to use their individual strengths to gain the present and future they so desire. She uses a mindfulness based approach to help clients develop healthier coping skills and emotional regulation. Mrs. Lowther does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and treats every situation with careful consideration.
Mrs. Lowther completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida in 2009, and received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in 2013. Mrs. Lowther became EMDR trained in 2013 and is currently working toward EMDR Certification. Mrs. Lowther worked in the substance abuse field for over five years in various settings and levels of care. She completed the Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training for Mental Health and Clinical Professionals in 2017 and is actively serving women experiencing pregnancy and postpartum related disorders. She is currently an adjunct professor at Valencia College, has facilitated several groups throughout her career, and instructed a four-hour parent education program for families going through divorce. She is a member of Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida, Postpartum Support International, EMDR Institutional Association, and founding member of Central Florida Postpartum Alliance. Tiffany also volunteers as a scholarship adviser for Chi Omega Fraternity at Rollins College, and as a Wish Granter for The Make A Wish Foundation.
